Junior IT Security Engineer

**About us**:
Assertiv Consulting is an Australian based Identity Security Consulting and Managed Services company, with offices in Australia and South East Asia.

This role involves working on Identity Security projects under the guidance of more senior Identity Consultants to undertake the following project-based activities:

- Install and configure Identity & Access Management products.
- Assist with System, Integration and User Acceptance Testing.
- Assist with documentation (Solution Design, Test Case, Server As-built, etc.).
- Provide ongoing help desk support for customer implementations.

**Requirements**:
Desired qualifications & experience:

- University graduated, with course work around software development, computer networks, and web development.
- Examples of professional work experience in an IT security related environment (preferred).
- A strong passion and desire to learn new technology.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A willingness in learning to develop, implement and configure complex IT Security solutions.
- The right to work permanently in Australia without requiring a visa/sponsorship.
- Openness to interstate travel if required.

Desired technical expertise/knowledge:

- Knowledge of security concepts and principles (e.g. knowledge of SAML and Oauth).
- Java, JavaScript, J2EE, Web development (if Software Engineer).
- Networking technologies and concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls).
- Cloud computing - AWS, Azure, Google.
- Windows Server, Linux, IOS, Android.
