Working closely with the Creative Director, the Series Director is responsible for all directorial decisions in the designated show and plays a critical role in the success of the production.

**Responsibilities**
- Under the Creative Director, oversee the series from development to final delivery.
- Guide the design and art direction of the show, the staging, story, animation, lighting, audio and final output to ensure the quality of the show is excellent.
- Work closely with Art Directors, Designers, Storyboarders, Editors, Modellers, Texturers, Animators, Lighters, VFX Artists, Compositors, Composers, Voice Talent, post production facilities and others.
- Be responsible for guiding and supervising the teams and review the work produced by the various departments from script through to post-production.
- Provide the vision and creative leadership. Ensure the style and quality of a series is upheld during all stages of production and communicates that to the department leads to ensure consistency throughout.
- Support the growth of all creative contributors with guidance and advice.
- Work closely with the Director of Production to ensure timelines and budgets are maintained in areas of production that can be influenced by directorial decisions.
- Report directly and frequently on the above to the Lead Snr Creative Executive and Creative Director. This to include regular meetings and feedback opportunities.
- Respond efficiently and diligently to feedback.

**Qualifications**
- Experience in directing children’s entertainment.
- Passionate and knowledgeable about animated children’s entertainment.
- Strong understanding of character and story, working to brand guidelines, and a grasp of visual film-making language and techniques.
- Ability to work proactively, independently and reliably under tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of organization and attention to detail. Ability to time-manage across multiple deadlines is a must.
- Highly collaborative, resourceful, curious and calm under pressure with a good sense of humor.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Film Studies or Creative Writing is preferred but not required.
