CONSTRUCTION DEPARTMENT
- The Construction team is responsible for the entire process flow of delivering the physical data centers from pre shovel ready state through commissioning, working with Sales, Operations, and management along the way. Construction implements and executes upon the work product developed in conjunction with Site Selection (SS), New Site Development (NSD) and the Development & Engineering (D&E) team.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Vantage is looking for an ambitious, detail-oriented, hands-on Planning Engineer in APAC to drive overall project schedule durations at a programmatic level to be used across the company portfolio. You will join the Project Controls team in providing professional scheduling capabilities and enable Vantage’s ability to profoundly affect and accelerate speed to market. You will be responsible for creating schedules at every stage of the project lifecycle and be expected to identify ways to re-sequence work to shorten.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pre-Construction- Responsible for the development of Level 0 Schedules (in MS Project or P6), working closely with the NSD/Construction teams to build reliable schedules based upon known benchmarking (both internal and external)-
- Define the activities, durations, logic, and interfaces required to deliver the full project scope at the various levels of project development and execution.-
- Define the initial overall project critical path and perform baseline management-
- Maintaining the project schedules in the P6 Database-
- Consolidate data and build up APAC schedule benchmarking competence-
- Assist in the development of procedures for scheduling based on best practice standard and facilitating user training with our internal stakeholders.Construction- Support teams in assessing General Contractor (GC) schedule capability and competency in advance of signing contracts-
- Support the onboarding of GCs to ensure understanding of and compliance with the Vantage Data Centre (VDC) Contractor schedule specification-
- Responsible for project schedule health checks and general schedule quality assurance against GC developed schedules.-
- Monitor schedule changes and identify potential risk of delays-
- Ensure the Primavera database is updated in a timely manner to support portfolio reportingJOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or similar field, or equivalent experience
- 5 to 8 years of experience in a Planning Engineer Role required, with half of the experience using MS Project and P6 as the main scheduling tool
- Data Centre experience is preferred
- Experience in CSA (civil, structural, architectural) and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) construction management is a requirement
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Power BI)
- Advanced MS Project and P6 experience.
- Acumen Fuse and 360 for Schedule Health Check is preferred.
- Project management experience preferred with PMP certification.
- Experience working on Infrastructure Projects within the APAC Region
