System Design Engineer Intern (Ref. No. R1010326)

at our location in Singapore

You will enjoy having these responsibilities:
- Participate in design of condition monitoring algorithms to detect anomalies in system functionalities- Collaborate with software engineering team on development of new use cases for data analytics tools used by Hitachi Rail CBTC systems worldwide- Analyse MRT train operational patterns and formulate changes to train operations to enable more energy efficient MRT operations- Use train performance simulation software and analyse performance for meeting requirements- Support innovation team in meeting customer requirements- Develop calculation models for train energy consumption using data acquired from train telemetry logs- Support investigation of CBTC system functionality to ensure system reliability is upheld

You have:
- Pursuing a degree in an Engineering field- Curious and willing to learn technical skills fast and on the fly- Have strong communication skills to interface with Hitachi Rail personnel around the globe- Basic knowledge of Python- (Good to have) Knowledge of software development process-
- Students who are able to commit to a minimum of 6 months full-time credit-bearing internships are preferred.
