**System Design Engineer**:
Together with a multi-discipline team (software, optics, mechanical engineers) you do complex system design for our new advanced packaging metrology systems. Combining short term small projects with long term strategic projects is the nature of our business.

You transform the rough ideas from your colleagues into a system design which you follow its full lifetime:

- Organize design reviews on technical feasibility and cost & risks.
- Prepare schematics, electrical diagram and select parts to fulfill the design parameters
- Building the prototype, conduct lab work to validate the design parameters
- Completing product documentation
- Using our Product Life-cycle Management software to transfer to Operations to enable mass production
- Host meetings both internally and with customers for solving problems and get actions done
- Travel to multiple customers for on-site activities like new product installation, troubleshooting and customer meetings.

In the design we need to have eye for cost efficiency, service-ability and manufacturability. To decrease time to market we explore new design techniques like CAD modeling, CFD/ CAE simulation.

**Qualifications**:

- Position requires a minimum BS degree in Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering plus 5 years work experience
- Confidence with machinery product compliance (CE, KC, SEMI S2/S8)
- Confidence with at least 1 electrical design software (preferably Eplan
- Experience in semiconductor industry (high precision equipment, cleanroom environment) is an added advantage
- Knowledge in programming (PLC, Python) is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English is required
