AVPN is seeking a Senior Manager, Capital Mobilisation, to develop, lead and drive our Ecosystem Building initiatives.
This role aims to facilitate an enabling ecosystem for effective capital flow towards social enterprises and demonstrate the potential to catalyse philanthropy and impact investment towards the Sustainable Development Goals. This could include the design and delivery of strategic programmes, developing innovative financing mechanisms, and building corporate partnerships. As Senior Manager, Capital Mobilisation, you will need to manage various stakeholder relationships and work collaboratively with internal project teams. You will need to have a keen interest in building knowledge in designing and structuring innovative financing mechanisms. Through this work, you will gain valuable insights into the fast-growing social investment sector in Asia-Pacific.
This position will be based in Singapore, and the individual will work with the diverse Capital Mobilisation team located throughout Asia. This role will report to the Chief of Capital Mobilisation.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and lead initiatives towards building a pipeline of investment ready for-profit social enterprises.
- Manage, maintain and engage a network of impact investors that are actively looking at investing in social enterprises.
- Drive partnerships around providing technical assistance to help for-profit social enterprises become investment-ready and build their capacity through AVPN’sInclusive Capital Platform.
- Lead the design and structuring of our Corporate Engagement Strategy through the assessment and recommendation of new project ideas, communicating project results and developing a vibrant and entrepreneurial corporate strategy.
- Manage and maintain key stakeholder relationships in the target markets and be a resource for other teams in the organisation
- Keep abreast of trends around impact investing, socially responsible investment, impact funds, and a grasp of sector-knowledge of AVPN’s focus; gender, health, youth, and climate.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the start-up and social entrepreneurship space and/ or corporate innovation, sustainability, and social impact.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing multiple projects within a fast-moving environment
- Excellent data analysis and synthesis skills
- Demonstrable experience in the impact management and measurement of for-profit social enterprises.
- Ability to coach, align, and lead a team to achieve deliverables
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work well with a diverse group of stakeholders; a cultural understanding, and sensitivity towards working in South and Southeast Asia is mandatory.
- Knowledge of philanthropy and social investment best practices and trends
- Technologically savvy; experience with Salesforce and Microsoft Office products is preferred
- Experience in gender, youth, climate, and healthcare-related work is a plus
