Munich Re has experienced exponential growth in demand for analytics projects from its clients in life and health. This is an exciting opportunity to join the newly formed Digital Solutions team located in Singapore for a professional who is interested in driving automated underwriting and claims initiatives, client engagement, working on data analytics project that provide domain expertise, and function as a liaison point among business units in other geographies for underwriting analytics projects.

This division supports Munich Re's Life and Health clients in Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa business. As such, you will gain exposure to a wide variety of business problems, other teams of Munich Re, clients and geographies.

You will report to the Chief Transformation Officer, Digital Solutions, Life & Health 2, and will be based in Singapore.

**Your Role**
- Possess an advanced understanding of both underwriting and claims assessment techniques with the ability to put the underwriting expertise and judgement into use to improve customer experience, and performance.
- Responsible for automated underwriting rules consulting projects including development, implementation and maintenance of client offerings
- Work with Munich Re's tech partner (Munich Re Automated Solutions) and leverage on domain expertise to support pre-sales marketing activities
- Work with data analytics and business teams in identifying and developing business opportunities aiming at improving the underwriting and claims processes of clients.
- Provide underwriting and claims expertise for R&D activities and evaluating potential strategic partnerships
- Able to provide underwriting solutions to clients by partnering with them to identify unique, creative ways to solve their problems and improve their business results.
- Lead projects, client marketing initiatives, and meetings where underwriting and claims expertise is required.
- Function as a liaison point on underwriting and claims projects with the local business units within Munich Re Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Africa business
- Support any strategic initiatives that Munich Re decides to embark on
- Leverage regional experience and provide support, knowledge transfer and guidance for local business units who are new in embarking on data analytics projects.

**Your Profile**
- Minimum 10 years of experience in progressively more senior roles in life insurance. Underwriting medically substandard, and financially complex life, disability and critical illness risks
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automated underwriting solution implementation, rules development and data analysis
- Relevant experience promoting and implementing process change in underwriting and new business departments.
- Excellent understanding of insurance operations (sales, underwriting, claims, underwriting guidelines) with experience in both life and health
- Experience optimising underwriting and claims business process flows
- Exposure to health underwriting and/or claims assessment is a plus
- Good English verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong technical, analytical and project management skills
