The Senior Manager (Policy) leads the HR Policies Centre of Excellence (CoE) function in SIT, overseeing the development, implementation and management of HR Policies. This role acts as a primary advisor on HR policy-related matters, ensuring that all HR policies are aligned with SIT’s mission and are compliant with legal regulations.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead the HR Policies Centre of Excellence (CoE) in setting the strategic direction for policy development, approval and governance.
- Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders and lead the review, development and updates of HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency, relevance and compliance.
- Monitor emerging HR trends, employment legislation, and HR best practices to recommend policy review and enhancements to address gaps and future needs.
- Ensure all HR policies comply with local labor laws, regulatory requirements, and align with industry best practices.
- Provide policy advice and guidance to senior management and HR colleagues and other stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment across the organisation.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all policies and related procedures with proper version control to track and record policy reviews and changes.
- Manage HR policy information platforms to ensure staff have easy access to accurate and updated policies.Facilitate the communication and implementation of HR Policies to build awareness, understanding and adoption of policies changes.**Job Requirements**
- Recognised degree, preferably in Business Administration, HR Management or related fields.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in HR policy development, review, or governance.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore employment laws, regulations, HR market practices.
- Proven ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and drive alignment across functions.
- Excellent writing and documentation skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with Singapore's higher education landscape will be an advantage.
