We're looking for a Director of our agency APAC markets to lead our monetization efforts in the region. Reporting to our Head of Global Agency, you'll be responsible for setting forth the overall sales strategy for the APAC agency markets and working closely with cross-functional partners to drive revenue growth for our agency business in these countries. You'll develop the teams as we establish our presence and drive fast growth of our ads business in this region. This leader will be tasked with developing and executing an APAC-wide growth plan, aligning scalable resourcing plans with partner teams, as well as a wide range of general management responsibilities.
**What you'll do**:
- Lead our agency strategy and execution for the existing and growing portfolio of APAC markets at Pinterest
- Develop market and competitive assessments to identify and drive new opportunities for Pinterest in the region with agencies (e.g. through expansion of our agency coverage into existing & new countries)
- Partner with internal stakeholders to develop strategies and initiatives that enable Pinterest to win in the APAC markets by meeting agency marketing objectives, scaling agency media investment, and creating meaningful and sustainable revenue growth
- Work closely with the global agency commercial teams and regional country sales managers on agency deal strategy by market
- Establish and develop relationships with key executive decision-makers (CEOs, CMOs etc.) of agencies and industry associations in the region
- Manage and develop a team of in-country agency leads
- Shape the future of our APAC Agency organization by building, training and motivating a high performing, diverse sales team based on an inclusive, positive culture
- Partner closely with Sales Operations and Measurement teams to analyze data trends and client performance, as to scale shared learnings and best practices to grow client's business through Pinterest solutions
- As part of our global agency leadership team, contribute to the success of the region through collaborating across countries and organizations
- Act as an external spokesperson and evangelize our brand in the region.
- Consult with Product Marketing, Ad Product, Performance Solutions, Insights, Measurement, Creative Strategy, Sales, Training, Marketing and PR teams to influence product development and support
- Collaborate with Country Managers in Japan, Australia, Singapore as well as the Head of APAC to inform and influence APAC wide strategies and operations for agencies
**What we're looking for**:
- 15+ years of experience in the digital media industry with 10+ years of management experience including managing managers
- Proven success as an executive leader across revenue & agency strategy, sales operations & productivity, and industry partnerships
- Deep understanding of challenges and opportunities across multiple verticals (e.g., CPG, Retail, Tech, Auto, etc.) with the ability to develop tailored sales strategies.
- Deep understanding and established network in the agency & digital advertising industry in APAC
- Strong understanding of performance, data, and measurement landscapes, with demonstrated experience using data and trends to develop winning strategies
- Strong focus on operational excellence by having introduced new performance measures, processes, and systems
- Fluent in English
- Outstanding go-to-market strategy and operational rigor for the successful execution of the agency strategy
- Strong leadership skills that inspire, drive urgency and challenge agency teams to think big and drive transformational thinking to advance team performance, health, and an inclusive culture
- Strong cross-functional partnership to drive discussions with the product and engineering teams driving alignment. Translating business needs into the roadmap. Have opinions about the technology trade-offs
- Strong influencing skills to build and direct agency priorities and decisions across the organization
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to translate insights, product information, and data into solutions for agency partners
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business management, or equivalent experience
