**Team**

Our team mission is to build & maintain the Database system Infrastructure architecture, Linux OS, Compute and its configuration. The team is also tasked with Supporting system availability & building the system in the cloud leveraging cloud native solutions and multi-substrate technologies in a consistent way that implement immutability for stateful systems, and supports measuring the availability and dynamic scalability for capacity needs.

**Role**
Salesforce is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior System Engineer to be part of the platform infrastructure team in the next chapter of System Design, Architecture and Orchestration. We are looking for an engineer with deep knowledge of Linux, Database, Systems and Cloud native technologies. This person should also be familiar with implementing and leading systems and microservices in the cloud at scale. Should have the ability to dedicatedly identify new sophisticated problem spaces and strive to innovate to tackle them. We need someone who can work cross-functionally and have a strong sense of ownership, customer service, and integrity proven through clear communication and positive action.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a solid Senior Or Lead DevOps Engineer in 24x7 Production Services environments.
- Familiarity with database (Oracle, MySQL, or similar technologies) and DB Cluster (RAC) technologies.
- Demonstrated ability in Devops for developing, deploying and supporting services-based enterprise solutions in private clouds in Linux (Oracle & Redhat) environments.
- Experience in Systems & Applications automation in 24x7 Production Services environments.
- Experience in designing systems to run at large scale and multi cloud environments across geographically distributed data centers.
- Experience in scripting languages Java, Python, Perl & Puppet.
- Experience in AWS is highly desired or Azure / GCP.
- Experience with systems and network performance and availability monitoring and analysis and configuration management platforms (Pagerduty, Grafana, Nagios/Prometheus, Puppet, Splunk) helpful.
- Strong sense of ownership, customer service, and integrity proven through clear communication and positive action.
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics (or equivalent experience)

**Good to have skills**:

- Developer experience and mindset.
- Reprioritization based on business dynamics.
- Microservices usage and provisioning.
- Experienced in working in globally distributed teams.
- Experience in Agile culture by technology, and business.
