Project Manager

**Responsibilities**:
**Project Strategy and Planning**
- Works closely with the senior manager to develop team’s strategy, planning and approach based on established goals and budget for EPCC project implementation in meeting the defined EPCC project scope and deliverables
- Stays abreast with industry best practices in engineering project management to develop engineering operating policies, procedures and quality management plans
- Defines manpower and resource allocation for project strategy planning, emphasising on factors (i.e. safety, cost, schedule, etc.) that may have impact on the life-cycle of the EPCC projects
- Provides correct approach on the initial utilisation of the engineering project management tools to track project deliverables and maximise team performance output, accuracy and design reliability
- Defines and manages engineering project risk and the required documentation, monitoring and implementing mitigation plans in advising management on the risk status and resolution

**Project Management and Control**
- Works closely with the senior manager on scope planning based on the defined resource and expertise for the effective implementation of engineering project life-cycle in meeting EPCC project deliverables
- Manages team achievement towards project goals, timeline and budget, ensuring strict compliance with design process and methods in accordance to the process flow and engineering policies
- Manages team responsible for transforming contractual specifications into cost effective engineering deliverables based on the defined codes, standards and classification requirements for project compliance
- Defines work breakdown structure in full scale project plans to ensure the allocation of resource requirements and schedule in fulfilling the milestone progress in the EPCC project
- Works closely with engineering multi-discipline managers, including production/ non-production departments in providing technical support and review during the project life-cycle
- Manages team responsible for compiling documentation and submission

**Project Review and Solutions**
- Initiates technical capability studies (i.e.TBE) with tender project team members, commercial, procurement and etc. to define project specification for proposal generation during the project appraisal and development stage
- Participates in meetings with managers, owners, statutory or classification authorities and subcontractors to review on the status of the completed project activities including changes, if required to ensure project compliance
- Manages project milestone report prepared by team members, including providing expert inputs and advises on improvement when required before presenting the report to senior management and stakeholders
- Monitors team coordination with project team on additional job which affects the design changes, schedule and plan, organises and implements the project work to ensure compliance and timely completion
- Manages project audit (i.e.third party on quality, safety and etc.) and project close-out plan as lessons learnt, reviewing action plans, documentation and solutions are appropriate for further process improvement

**Team Management**
- Leads, develops and mentors team members to achieve functional objectives
- Sets objectives with the team members, monitor and evaluate their performance, make recommendations or approve and implement actions, such as promotions and corrective action
- Provides career development guidance
- Executes routine administrative responsibilities (e.g. leave and course approvals), and resolves other HR related issues

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture/ Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering disciplines
- Minimum 10 years of working experience in engineering project management in marine and offshore/nearshore oil and gas industry
- Experience in the design and construction of marine vessels from concept through final construction of the project
- Able to manage and control the engineering 3D modelling design execution with engineering team, Client and 3rd party engineering subcontractor
- Able to plan 3D model milestone and 3D model review based on engineering plan and project schedule.
- Able to conduct 3D model review with engineering team, Client and 3rd party engineering subcontractor.
- Able to plan action and follow up action and punches closure from 3D model review
- Able to comprehend the strategies, work methods, processes and systems in overall project execution and engineering
