The Emerging Systems Division focuses research and development on a broad spectrum of capabilities that are critical to the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) defence systems. These include antenna design and electromagnetics, as well as next-wave technologies in the areas of lasers and advanced materials.

Optics Engineer

In this role, you will:

- Design optical components and subsystem using software tools such as Zemax
- Analyse optical performance metrics to ensure designs meets specifications
- Conduct testing to validate requirements of the designed components / subsystems
- Work with a multi-discipline team for system integration and performance evaluation

**Requirements**:

- PhD / Masters / Bachelor’s Degree in Physics and / or Optics
- Proficiency with optical design software such as Zemax
- Experience with Matlab / Solidworks / Ansys will be an advantage
- Experience with optical testing and characterization techniques will be an advantage
- Strong communication skills
