RWE Supply & Trading acts as the interface between RWE and energy markets around the world. Approximately 2,000 employees from over 70 different countries trade electricity and commodities in offices across Europe, North America and Asia.

RWEST’s expansion within the Asia-Pacific region has been rapid. Our Singapore trading floor is now home to around 80 colleagues and continues to grow. We have additional offices in China, Japan and Indonesia, and are building our footprint in Australia. As the business expands, we need a strong Market Risk team in Singapore to partner with the traders and ensure the resilience and continued success of our business in the whole Asia-Pacific region.

**Your responsibilities**
- You will work closely with our teams in the Asia-Pacific region, analysing and explaining trading strategies and assessing the profitability of the trading desks. You will also have daily contact with Risk colleagues in Europe.
- Your day to day activities will generally include:

- Reporting to the Board and other senior stakeholders on the key risks and P&L movements within the trading desks
- Conducting risk assessments on new products
- Checking that traders are operating within agreed limits
- Using your initiative to work on new or existing projects and ideas to add value to the businessWorking with colleagues in Risk and other departments in our European offices

**Your profile**

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, and wishes to grow their career within a rapidly expanding energy trading company. You will need:

- A disciplined and organised approach to work, with the ability to work within tight deadlines
- An aptitude for thinking on your feet and finding solutions to complex problems
- A willingness to challenge and improve existing processes
- An ability to take responsibility for tasks and deliver them on time
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Evidence of strong numerical and analytical skills
- Interested in commodity trading

**Advantageous, but not a must**
- Experience in the energy business / energy trading environment.
- Knowledge of commodity markets in the Asia-Pacific region. Understanding of commodity trading and the trading lifecycle.Experience of modelling, option theory, Greeks, pricing models, stress testing, VaR concepts.
