**About the Role**

In this role of L&H Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations supporting the goals of SEA L&H Claims Team for the Singapore market. You will work independently to effectively manage SR claim liablities through implementing appropriate client management, claims adjudication and risk management strategies.You are also expected to work closely with the wider SEA L&H cross functional team members to achieve maximized outcomes. Specifically, by collaborating with colleagues from Client Markets and Underwriting, you can ensure best in class service to be delivered to our clients in consistently manner; by working side-by-side with actuaries from Pricing, Actuarial and Portfolio Management Team, you will complete data analytics and claims deep dive projects which will form an integral part for future product development and pricing feedbacks as well as improving portfolio management qualities.

Main responsibilities:

- Manage the day-to-day operations to carry out his/her responsibilities effectively;
- Analyze clients' portfolio to understand the details and trend of claims in order to add value to the outcome within a reasonable timeline;
- Ensure required claims data and reports are accurate and complete for business reporting purposes (KPIs, etc.);
- Support the Claims Manager in developing client portfolio management strategy, planning and carrying out Claims Audits/Reviews to ensure alignment to business goals and priorities;
- Work closely with team members in managing client relationships, providing solutions and value added claims services, including training, claims management, seminars, meetings, etc.
- Assess and manage client claims case referrals within the terms and conditions of the policy and pricing assumptions;
- Ensure Client Audits are conducted within internal framework, and oversee implementation of any remedial actions to improve claims standards;
- Support the BU in tendering for new business, innovative product development and in promoting claims profile and expertise in the Singapore market;
- Seek clients' challenges in claim operation process through interaction with them. Consider and provide appropriate solution for clients in collaboration with internal solution function.
- Ensure treaty documentation contains agreed terms and conditions, and the relevant claims clauses and articles according to acceptable SR standards

**About the Team**

Swiss Re Life and Health (L&H) Claims forms part of the Swiss Re L&H Business Management function which is responsible for managing in-force business and the related operations. There are four units within the Business Management division; Claims, Actuarial Management, Portfolio Management and Technical Accounting. In addition to the in-force management of existing business, Business Management ensures insights gained from in-force business are appropriately incorporated in our new business activities.

L&H Business Management works closely with other Swiss Re teams specifically L&H Products and Client Markets to ensure Swiss Re has aligned priorities and client focus whilst delivering market-specific, portfolio-directed services, which support our overall strategic approach to managing risks and client relationships.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to become part of the Swiss Re L&H Business Management team and collaborate with clients and various teams within Swiss Re locally and regionally. This role will be instrumental in the implementation of a meaningful and relevant claims philosophy whilst promoting and sharing best practice claims management techniques with clients and internal stakeholders.

- Degree in insurance/business/financial services/law/medical disciplines.
- 8+ years technical L&H claims experience.
