**What you will be working on**
- This position aims to grow and sustain active participation in basketball, focusing on youth development through the management of the ActiveSG Basketball Academy, which would further translate into successful transition of participants to coaches, officials, volunteers, spectators and fans of the sport. You will support the team in planning, design, coordination and implementation of programmes and activities, especially for junior and youth participants, with the aim of nurturing them to become leaders and team players on and off the court. You will also collaborate with key stakeholders within and outside of the fraternity to enhance the overall delivery of programmes and activities within the basketball ecosystem. The role includes the following responsibilities: - Formulate strategies, build and maintain the overall positioning and value proposition of the Academy and maintain meaningful relationships with key stakeholders including coaches, parents and volunteers of the Academy;
- Develop and implement the range of grassroots and developmental programmes, competitions and leagues, schools and community outreach initiatives to engage and nurture the interest for sustainable participation in the sport;
- Manage the administration of the Academy including registration of participants, booking of facilities, monitoring the attendance and development of participants and engagement of parents;
- Support the Academy’s technical director to oversee the development of coaches as educators and role models in guiding and nurturing the Academy’s junior and youth participants; and - Establish quality working relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including the Slingers, corporates, private academies and international partners to expand the reach and capability of the Academy and the overall eco-system
