**Job Description**:
Kite is currently expanding its footprint within Asia and establishing a regional presence in Singapore. To support patients in need, we’re seeking a highly motivated individual to join our International Regional Supply Chain team as the first (Sr.) Supply Chain Specialist to be based out of Kite’s office in Singapore.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for the management of patients’ orders and related shipments for initially Singapore and Australia. Working closely with local, regional, as well as global internal and external business partners (e.g. logistics services providers), you will be the regional key point of contact for anything supply chain related in case of e.g. inquiries or issues related to patients’ orders and shipments. Additionally, as part of Kite’s global business model for patients orders from around the world, you will support in mitigating/resolving any potential issues for orders and shipments from other countries/regions that cannot wait until their teams are within their operating hours. This to ensure we do the utmost to prevent for any potential negative impact to the timely delivery of patients’ potentially life-saving cell therapies.

With the Asia region being a strategic growth market for Kite, additional countries in the region are expected to be added, in line with which the regional supply chain team is expected to further grow in responsibilities and size. In this context, you will be playing an important role for the region in the support of new country and product launches, trade compliance topics, supply chain design (e.g. shipping lanes), and continuous improvement.

In this role, you will report to the International Cell Order Management Lead, based at Kite’s headquarters in Santa Monica (US).

Responsibilities of the (Sr.) Supply Chain Specialist (include but are not limited to):
- Coordinates all aspects of Kite’s commercial cell order process for patients’ cell orders from (initially) Singapore and Australia, and supporting other countries where needed, by:
- Booking and managing orders in Kite’s Oracle EBS Enterprise Resource Planning system;- Manage courier shipments and other external logistics services required for patients’ orders (e.g. Customs broker and suppliers of LN2 shippers), monitor statuses, and intervene manually where needed;- Monitor the statuses of patients’ shipments and pro-actively work with logistics services providers to resolve any (potential) delays/issues to prevent for any delays in patients’ orders/shipments;- Register any issues with logistics services providers in Kite’s Supply Chain’s system (part of the logistics services providers’ quarterly management business reviews);- Support with any trade compliance aspects related to patients’ orders/shipments (e.g. follow-up on and verify internationally required shipment documents (e.g. Customs Invoices);- Support with new country and product launches from a regional supply chain perspective;- Pro-actively support with analyses and the continuous improvement of the overall supply chain process;- Primary point of contact for any supply chain inquiries/issues related to patients’ orders/shipments;- Own relevant quality records where needed (related to supply chain / cell order management / logistics).

Basic Qualifications:
- MS/MA Degree with 2+ years’ experience with Supply Chain/Logistics- BS/BA Degree with 4+ years’ experience with Supply Chain/Logistics- Associates Degree with 6+ years’ experience with Supply Chain/Logistics- High proficiency in English- Comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-cultural, and highly international environment with mínimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities- Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize- Ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical/life-sciences industry including order management, logistics, operations and/or customer service- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (preferably Oracle EBS and/or SAP)- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to details- High proficiency in Mandarin- Patient centric mindset- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills- Flexible mindset and goes the extra mile to get the job done- Experience in owning quality records (e.g. deviations)
