Our Non-Contentious Financial Regulatory Practice is looking to hire an Associate in Singapore who is England & Wales qualified to advise on English law.

Our team advises clients on a broad spectrum of regulatory matters, as well as development of financial services products, such as electronic trading platform and innovative platform to offer investment products. In terms of topic areas, we cover securities, banking, asset management, licensing, product governance and suitability related issues.

Person specification:

- Experience advising UK based investment managers establishing Cayman Islands domiciled master-feeder open ended alternative investment funds
- Experience in-house in the legal team of a UK based investment manager working with both open and closed ended funds.
- Experience working with both established and start-up managers on a range of open ended fund structures.
- Knowledge and experience advising on AIFMD related issues in respect of UK managed alternative investment funds.
- Experience working alongside Cayman and US fund counsel in relation to Cayman and US fund structures.
- Experience working with digital assets focussed alternative investment funds.
- Experience establishing Jersey domiciled alternative investment funds.
- Open to a twelve months non-renewable employment
- English qualified Lawyer between 3 to 4 years PQE
- Excellent academic record with a minimum 2:1 degree
- A double degree in Law and Business Administration is preferable
- Most importantly, you should be intellectually curious and have a real and genuine interest in developing an understanding of technical legislation and regulatory requirements
- Working experience gained in an international or a leading local law firm with a focus on Non-Contentious Financial Regulatory work is preferable, although not essential
- Strong legal analytical skills
- Excellent drafting skills and communication skills
- Attention to details and able to work efficiently
- Commercially driven and able to work independently, as well as work as part of a diverse and inclusive team
- Flexible approach to work and a willingness to travel on occasion as required
