The Office of Health and Safety (OHS) champions the health and safety management in NTU. OHS manages university-level health and safety programmes, such as radiation safety, chemical safety, electrical safety, amongst others. OHS is also responsible for establishing frameworks and systems that will support the promotion and sharing of best practices in safety and health among Colleges/Schools/Research Centres and Departments in the University.

OHS is hiring a Senior Assistant Manager to oversee business operations in the areas of office management, publicity/outreach programmes and customer and quality service management. This role will also be responsible to optimize business processes through automation and digitalization. The person will be responsible for managing one or more direct report and be able to work with internal and external stakeholders in projects and tasks.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the planning and organization of University-level promotional and outreach programmes.
- Manage departmental budgets. Lead annual budget planning exercise, continuous budget monitoring and reforecasting efforts.
- Develop and refine internal procedures and processes to streamline workflow and enhance internal controls.
- Manage department publicity and outreach programmes, including overseeing content on internet and intranet pages.
- Oversee department quality standards, customer service protocols, and knowledge management systems.
- Supervise and mentor one or more direct reports.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or related disciplines.
- Proficient in budgeting and finance management, event management, and quality management systems.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in an Institute of Higher Learning
- At least 3 years in a supervisory role with direct report responsibilities.
- Independent, meticulous and dependable, with strong multitasking abilities.
- Analytical and possesses strong planning and problem-solving skills
