**JOB SUMMARY**
Manages the day-to-day operations of MIJ's programs for Special Needs Individuals, ranging from 3yo to 30yo. Participates in the development, recommendation and administration of policies, procedures and processes in support of Centre operations. Responds to inquiries and requests and provide regular feedback.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Plans, organizes, maintains and manages the operations of the Student Care, Preparatory and adult (Work Readiness and DAC) programs for students with special needs.
- Develops, recommends and administers policies, procedures, and processes in support of the different programs' operations; implements and monitors compliance with approved policies, procedures, and processes.
- Participates in/on a variety of meetings, committees, task forces and/or other related groups to communicate information regarding services, programs, areas of opportunity, and/or other pertinent information as appropriate.
- Organise, plan and schedule classes, as well as activities for the holiday programs.
- Manage teachers’ responsibilities and mentor teachers to help them understand the processes, approaches to teaching in the different programs.
- Coordinate arrivals and pick up schedule with bus drivers on a daily basis.
- Liaise with parents on matters regarding student affairs, teaching and learning issues.
- Attend to Student-Parent matters with regards to student’s academic and behavioural attitudes and achievements.
- Positions in this classification may perform all or some of the responsibilities above and all positions perform other related duties as assigned.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in managing a Student Care Centre, Childcare Centre, Kindergarten, or Day Activity Centre
- Polytechnic Diploma and above
- Possess good communication skills
- Meticulous and able to multi-task
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
