What You Will Achieve

As a member of the Pfizer Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and Chemical Operations team, you will work with others to be accountable for activities involved in the production of many of Pfizer's products. In your work, you will help to determine the manufacturing methods, procedures and tooling requirements for products and well as designing the tools and planning production sequences in accordance with continuous improvement, Six Sigma, Lean and other Good Manufacturing Principles (GMP). It is your domain knowledge, commitment, collaboration and dedication that will help us achieve new milestones and patients across the globe

As a Manager, you will be setting the objectives for multiple projects in your division. Your managerial and technical skills will help in guiding the people in your division. Your understanding of the external marketplace and customer requirements will facilitate in instituting knowledge sharing practices in your team and outside. How You Will Achieve It
- Lead, direct and guides the Technical team (Process Engineers) to oversee the facility and product fit, process robustness and technical transfer.
- Lead, direct and guides the team in organic synthesis plant (OSP) in manufacturing active pharmaceutical ingredients (API), including developing and communicating goals, setting priorities, development plans and managing performance.
- Lead cross function team for complex sitewide projects such Product Transfer, Capital Project, Business Development, Quality/ Safety culture improvement, as per the business needs and assignment.
- Lead cross functional team for product transfer of new product on site and interface with above site and transferring sites to ensure flawless transfer of product to site
- Manufacturing of the assigned products in liaison with sending sites and several functional groups such as Production, Quality, Technical Services, Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), Engineering and Finance.
- Know the processes and procedures, including the principles and practices of good data management (ALCOA), and be able to guide, advise and guides their teams.
- Ensure that all the procedures are kept up to date and aligned with company standards
- Be accountable for the Good Data Management and Data integrity understanding and performance of their team.
- Be available to their direct reports for real time escalations of any concerns or support needs
- Play an active and impactful role to deliver flawless execution for respective process centric team (PCT)by updating performance against metrics, highlighting & resolving issues, with appropriate escalations

**Qualifications**:
Must-Have
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering
- 5-10 years of experience in a pharmaceutical API manufacturing environment or related industries
- Good organization skills, attention to detail and proactive.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical solutions for complex problems through equipment and process understanding
- Working knowledge of Food and Drug Administration Regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice-to-Have
- Master’s degree and relevant pharmaceutical experience.
- Experience in handling external regulatory agency audits.
- Experience working with complex organizations.
- People manage experience and has experience with high performance teams, excellent interpersonal and project management skills
- Experience with Operational Excellence techniques (Six Sigma, etc.).
- Demonstrated experience in a relevant manufacturing environment
- Experience in automation including DeltaV and equipment validation
