Focus areas being: waste of electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), batteries, packaging, oil, tyres and end-of-life vehicles (ELV).

**The Role**:As part of our environmental compliance management solutions in supporting our international customers in fulfilling their Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) obligations worldwide, we are looking for a **(Senior) Environmental Compliance Specialist **to lead EPR compliance activities in the Asia Pacific region.

**Your key responsibilities**:

- You will be responsible for ensuring the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) compliance for some of our largest customers in the Asia Pacific region. You are the direct contact person for our customers for EPR questions relating to Asia Pacific.
- In order to keep our regulatory know-how on EPR up to date, you will carry out monitoring of EPR laws across Asia Pacific (with a focus on, but not limited to, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Philippines, Australia).
- You will maintain contact with regional legislative bodies and authorities as well as compliance schemes that are relevant for the implementation of the legal requirements mentioned.
- You will analyse the EPR obligations of customers in Asia, develop optimal implementation scenarios to ensure EPR compliance and implement them together with our team of experts.
- After an initial training period, you will be handling our customers’ product and sales data to create EPR compliance reports and submit them to compliance schemes and national authorities.
- Together with our global team, you will further develop our service portfolio to strengthen RLG’s position as the global one-stop-shop for EPR compliance.

**Your Profile**:

- At least a Bachelor's degree, ideally in a field related to environmental policy, circular economy, sustainability, or waste management
- You are able to deal with legal, data and financial issues, and ideally you already have experience in the area of EPR obligations for WEEE, batteries and packaging in Asia Pacific
- Experience in or willingness to working with large data sets; comfortable working with MS Excel and IT tools for data analysis
- Customer-focused mindset and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure customer‘s satisfaction
- Ideally experience in working with large corporate customers
- Results driven with aptitude for analytical and lateral thinking
- Passion for sustainability and greener future
- Fluent written and verbal communication in English; ideally additional language skills in Korean, Japanese or Mandarin
