Role Purpose:
Play a lead role in designing, winning and delivering consulting projects for clients of Global Risk Analysis (GRA) products/services in, Asia Pacific and globally, with focus on Japanese clients.
Advise clients on political, security, operational, compliance and sector-specific risks, with a special focus on Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Ethics and Compliance Consulting (ECC) services within the GRA team. Responsibilities include regular liaison with relevant stakeholders across the group, the design of innovative consulting solutions - and taking steps to improve their quality - and the development of consulting skills across the GRA team.
Contribute to complex multi-service line projects - for example market entry consulting, enterprise risk management, crisis management - in close collaboration with relevant service line stakeholders.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Delivering high quality enterprise risk management and risk analysis consulting
- Be able to demonstrate understanding of ERM process and major political, operational and security risk issues related to APAC markets
- Respond to client requests for analytical support around political, operational or security risk issues
- Support senior colleagues in delivery of complex, client-facing risk consultancy projects
- Delivering or overseeing consultancy proposals and responses to client requests in a timely manner and to a high standard to maximise chance of success through assistance to proposal-writers
Winning consulting projects
- Support business development activities in close collaboration with the Markets and Partnerships team and other service lines in the region and liaise directly with clients to understand, scope and develop their political, compliance, operational and/or security risk consultancy requirements
- Contribute - and where appropriate - lead on the design and delivery of complex multi-service line solutions for example including market-entry, anti-bribery and corruption and crisis management consultancy, working together with relevant service line stakeholders, Partners and Directors
- Identify and evaluate new methodologies, technologies and organisations which could contribute to our consulting offering, specific to the Japanese client base.
**Requirements**:
- In-depth understanding of ERM, political, compliance, regulatory and operational risks, as concepts relevant to clients.
- At least three years relevant work experience in consulting with a focus on APAC and Japanese clients.
- Understanding of the Japanese corporate presence in Singapore, and risk management approach of Japanese multinationals and trading houses
- Experience of selling professional services and a proven track record of working independently.
