**Job Description** About this job**:
The job holder will be a key contributor to different reserving activities across the APAC L&H business.

**About the role**:
**_ Key responsibilities_**
- Prepare and support the quarterly actuarial valuation of APAC L&H business under various reporting bases (US GAAP, SII, IFRS17, MAS, HK RBC, VIF, BMA)
- Maintain documentation of methodologies, processes, procedures, controls and results
- Set up and maintain actuarial valuation models for various lines of business with a focus on DMTM business
- Monitoring and tracking of DMTM business including reconciliation of cedant accounts/data against marketing companies campaign data
- Prepare the quarterly APAC valuation result review and reporting
- Support continuous enhancement in processes and controls
- Provide support for both internal and external audits
- Develop technical knowledge (product, assumptions, regulation, industry trends) and become an expert within the Valuation team
- Support the annual Experience Studies and Assumptions setting process
- Support the APAC Chief Actuary and Senior Valuation Actuaries on ad-hoc projects

**Qualifications** About you**:
**_ Technical skills/competencies_**
- Fully qualified/nearly qualified actuary
- Knowledge of AXIS/R would be an advantage
- Proficiency in English

**_ Soft skills_**
- Organized, able to work in a matrix structure
- Attention to details
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Team orientated
- Unafraid of challenges and a desire to learn
- Wish to work in a dynamic and culturally diverse environment with colleagues possessing a wide and varied range of skills and experience

**_ Work experience_**
- 5-7 years’ actuarial experience in Life (re)insurance
