**Actuary - Valuation (Reinsurance -Asia)**

**Location: Singapore | Hybrid Work Model**

In this role, you won’t just crunch numbers — you’ll influence major financial decisions and be trusted as a technical expert in one of the world's top reinsurance environments. Our APAC Actuarial team is expanding, and we’re seeking a driven, detail-oriented actuary to join our Asia reserving function.

You’ll manage core reserving activities including quarterly closings, model validation, settlement processing, and assumption setting. Your work will support regulatory reporting across IFRS 17 and Solvency II, and your insights will directly influence financial narratives.

**Your Core Responsibilities**:

- Drive end-to-end reserving operations, from calculations to loading results into actuarial and financial systems
- Manage actuarial deliverables for financial reporting cycles and support external audit processes
- Develop tools, refine controls, and continuously enhance reserving methodologies
- Generate and validate quarterly settlement statements for external retrocession arrangements
- Conduct UAT for Prophet developments and propose refinements to models and parameters
- Participate in regional and group-wide actuarial initiatives, with a focus on process transformation and IFRS 17 delivery

**Your Background**:

- Nearly/newly qualified actuary with 6-11 years’ experience in insurance or reinsurance
- In-depth knowledge of actuarial reserving practices and regulatory frameworks (IFRS 17, Solvency II)
- Hands-on experience with Prophet and actuarial cash flow modeling
- Proven ability to work independently and review peer deliverables
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful messages for non-actuarial audiences
