About The Job

The Project Planning Engineer will be responsible for the development of programmes, baseline management and progress updates related with Structural Steel Building Construction Works.

**Responsibilities**:

- Liaise with internal department and subcontractor in weekly/monthly progress report preparation
- Plan out performance progression on upcoming project
- Prepare weekly development progress
- Prepare master programme schedule and plan during tender and execution stage
- Assist in tender preparations including technical planning, submission of write-ups proposal and tender presentation to clients
- Monitor project progress and advise project team on interfaces, clashes, constraints, delay and risks
- Identify and report variations in contract requirements
- Liaise and attend meetings with clients/ consultants / subcons and suppliers for design, drawings, methodologies, catalogues, and material matters.
- Develop and maintain the project schedule
- Develop, monitor, and review equipment and manpower deployment plans
- Responsible for developing and updating the various stages of pre-construction and construction programs
- To be involved in the development and control of Project Work Schedule, such as steel structures works and Process Systems from concept design to steel construction/installation
- To calculate/estimate the duration of each significant steel construction activity and the resource requirements
- To prepare technical submissions for all tender submissions
- To be involved in site planning, work schedule and monitoring site implementation progress
- To be involved in site progress meeting and present our progress of works to project team
- To meet the client planning engineer / Project Manager and update our progress into overall client progress and get the payment certificate based on actual site progress

**Requirements**:

- At least 5 Years of relevant experience in Structural Steel works construction and building industry
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering/Construction related disciplines or equivalent field from a recognized institution
- Proficient in P6 Primavera program and Microsoft Project Planner
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Tekla and BIM Sight
- Experience in report writing and preparation
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Planning and project management skills
- Strong multitasking abilities
- Strong analytical, critical, and logical thinking skills
- A sound understanding of safety protocols
- Ability to focus under pressure and meet deadlines
