Barker Road Methodist Church Little Lights Preschool invites passionate and committed individuals to join our newly opened childcare centre at Vanda Road and to make a dfference in the learning and development of children under our care.
- Role model value, respect and tolerance towards each child’s social, cultural and religious background.
- Undertake the pastoral care and teaching of children in accordance with the school’s agreed policies and guidelines.
- Using a variety of teaching strategies and age-appropriate practices, ensure high quality learning of children.
- Timely planning and submission of documents to Principal in regards to identifying specific learning objectives, differentiated tasks, extension and assessment of children under your care
- Participate in professional dialogue with colleagues concerning the children treat all information with confidentiality.
- Be responsible for all equipment and materials provided for teaching and learning practices and ensuring a purposefully set-up environment
- Collaborate with Principal and staff in establishing and developing effective pupil assessment procedures and e-portfolios.
- Keep appropriate records of achievement for each child in class and provide reports as necessary.
- Participate in own professional progression and career development through trainings and Performance Management Cycle
- Support centre-parent partnership and provide for creative learning and development activities at home.
- Maintain positive collaborations and communication with parents.
- Guide and motivate programme helpers in carrying out their tasks.

**Job Requirements**:

- At least 1 year relevant professional experience in an Infant care setting
- Should hold a minimum of a Certificate in Infant Care Practice (CICP) / Higher Certificate in Infant Care (HCIC) / Advance Certificate in Early Years (ACEY) / Advance Certificate in Early Childhood Care & Education (ACECCE), which is obtained from a recognised institution
- Knowledge of or willingness to acquire knowledge of inquiry-based learning is required
- Must provide original copies of their Certificates and academic transcripts for authentication
- Certified by ECDA at EY1 or L1 Level
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office - Word
- Able to work independently and also a team player
- Good command of English or Mandarin - verbal and written
- Attend courses when required
