Lapis is a dedicated platform for data storytellers to craft, publish and share their narratives. Our mission is to make data storytelling more accessible by interweaving data visualisation with text, imagery, audio, animation, and more to tell impactful stories. We are looking for a dedicated Product Marketing Intern to join our team.

**Role overview**

The product marketing intern will play a crucial role in supporting our team in crafting marketing communications, planning and executing campaigns, and driving community building efforts. We are looking for a motivated and creative individual who can help us grow Lapis’ brand presence, engage our community and enhance our marketing initiatives.

Kontinentalist is a data storytelling studio and web publication committed to growing Asia’s voice in global conversations. Our award-winning digital stories blend data visualisation, narrative, design, and code, helping our clients and non-profit partners communicate data in engaging and memorable ways. Passionate about empowering Asia’s data storytellers and helping them find belonging with one another, we create educational content (workshops, talks, social media) as well as opportunities and supportive communities for data storytelling professionals and enthusiasts in the region.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and create marketing content and product communications for Lapis.
- Conceptualise and execute marketing campaigns across platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, and others.
- Support digital and social media efforts through research, copywriting, SEO/AEO, and performance analysis.
- Plan and coordinate community-building activities, including online and in-person events.
Assist in identifying and developing product partnerships with organisations and key opinion leaders (KOLs), and explore new opportunities to grow our reach.

**Competencies**
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (prior experience with copywriting is a plus).
- Empathy for user & audience needs and desires, and an ability to craft messaging that speaks to them effectively.
- Experience planning and managing content for social media, especially LinkedIn, Instagram, and Bluesky.
- Familiar with marketing tools (i.e. Mailchimp) and analytics platforms (i.e. Google Analytics).
