About the Team: Our Global Litigation Team provides key support for ByteDance and our global products. We empower innovation by delivering integrated legal guidance that supports our business teams in achieving their boldest ambitions. The Global Litigation team is responsible for managing high-stakes litigation and disputes across all regions. Responsibilities - General litigation support with a primary focus on the AMA (Asia ex China, Middle East, Africa region); - Handle general litigation, pre-litigation claims, and all related matters; - Supervise and partner with outside counsel to ensure that all aspects of the company's legal representation are of the highest quality, including the day-to-day running of matters, overall strategy, written work, and oral advocacy; - Regularly leads and delivers legal work product with little supervision, including advice to clients on complex matters, contracts and investigation/litigation responses; - Work and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders; - Support the company's strategy for litigation and where applicable regulatory matters; - Independently identifies and evaluates legal risk in business contexts, consults outside counsel and relevant stakeholders where appropriate, and makes well-informed recommendations to clients, including in ambiguous situations; - Takes on a leadership role in addressing complex legal matters, where warranted, exhibiting a high level of autonomy and responsibility; - Considers both business and legal implications of advice with a well-attuned understanding of risk; - Keep the wider regional team appraised of regional developments. **Qualifications** - Minimum Qualifications - Qualified lawyer in one of the jurisdictions in which ByteDance operates in Asia - Experience of managing litigation in the APAC region, ideally gained in private practice and in-house - Team player, strong people skills and ability to engage with all levels of the organization; - Proven track record of performing effectively under tight deadlines, strong attention to detail, and managing multiple projects simultaneously. **Job Information** **About Us** Founded in 2012, ByteDance's mission is to inspire creativity and enrich life.
