[What the role is]

Business Development of Association Congresses to be held in Singapore. The goal is to develop Singapore as a leading MICE destination for association conventions, congresses & meetings.

**[What you will be working on]**

**Main responsibilities**:
Work with a cross-divisional team to establish a pipeline and robust calendar of non-profit or association events within the next generation healthcare and tech sectors. By gathering and analysing market intelligence data, she/he will help to increase Singapore’s competitiveness in attracting and/or creating business events.

She / he will need to be proactive in undertaking business development activities, both local and overseas (some travel required), working clo sely with not-for-profit stakeholders, MICE intermediaries and STB's Regional Offices in bids for conventions & meetings to build a pipeline of association conventions. She / he will work on cultivating and engaging stakeholders to achieve business development targets and other strategic objectives.

In addition, she / he will also support conventions and meetings sector growth by implementing industry developmental initiatives, and lead key industry alliances.

**[What we are looking for]**
- At least 3 years of working experience, ideally in areas of business development, account management, sales or marketing
- Good verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills
- Good business development and negotiation skills
- Good interpersonal skills and enjoy building relationships with external stakeholders
- Ability to multi-task and follow-up in a timely manner
- Resourceful team player who focuses on achieving results with others, and is driven to meet challenging goals
- Familiarity with international MICE business development work is advantageous
