Overview of Physical Activity and Weight Management Division

The Physical Activity and Weight Management (PAWM) team aims to make the physically-active lifestyle an integral part of Singaporeans' lives. The objective is to encourage more Singaporeans to incorporate sufficient level of physical activity (PA) into their daily lifestyle to improve their health. HPB aims to achieve this by educating local residents & seeding more incidental PA (IPA) and Leisure Time PA (LTPA) programmes.

The Physical Activity and Weight Management (PAWM) team aims to make the physically-active lifestyle an integral part of Singaporeans' lives. The objective is to encourage more Singaporeans to incorporate sufficient level of physical activity (PA) into their daily lifestyle to improve their health. HPB aims to achieve this by educating local residents & seeding more incidental PA (IPA) and Leisure Time PA (LTPA) programmes.

**What you can expect**

Reporting to DD (PAWM), as Assistant Director Program Design & Development under the Leisure Time PA (LTPA) & Weight Management (WM) Department, you are expected to oversee a team to manage HPB’s physical activities programs to Singaporeans. You are expected to be excellent in program operations and execute programs smoothly.

You will manage a small team to work across HPB’s divisions to collaborate and promote effective physical activity strategies & delivery of programs across Children, Youth & Adults segments. You will also conduct in-depth analysis & assessment to provide insights on effective physical activity strategies and plans to the targeted segments.

You will design, develop and execute effective innovative programmes to promote physical activity to target segments and put in place a review mechanism to improve program offerings. In addition, you are expected to establish, review and manage operations and processes to ensure programmes are executed with good quality/standard and corporate governance.

Last but not least, you will be responsible in managing stakeholders (internal & external, government, corporate) and vendors for synergistic programme delivery. You will also manage the team’s workplans, budget, KPIs, reports, invoices and payments.
- Ability to think strategically, with a good foundation and instinct for ground operations, especially in the health and fitness industry
- Strong on-ground operations and execution experience, and multi-level coordination skills
- Excellent project, planning and vendor management skills
- Experienced in leadership skills and managing small teams, and also a dynamic team player and effective collaborator
- Excellent inter-personal skills and emotional intelligence
- Good verbal, written and presentation skills
