Full-time Aquatics Trainer

**Overview**

Swish Swimming is a boutique swim school located within the tropical surroundings of Dempsey Hill. Since the school opened this location in 2015, our diverse clientele of both local and expatriate residents has continued to grow, and is as vibrant as ever. Swish is founded on the philosophy that learning to swim is an essential life-saving skill, but can be boring or scary to some, and needs enthusiastic coaches to develop the passion. After the addition of another 20m, temperature controlled outdoor pool called Swish Laguna in Dempsey Hill in 2017 and the tremendous growth and success with it; Swish now has a 3rd site(4th pool) to accommodate the ever expanding demand for swimming and other aquatic lessons; and is actively recruiting now for this.

**Who Are We Looking For?**

Swish Swimming is looking for a Full-time Aquatics Trainer, also known as a Swim Coach to join our team of professionals. This role is expecting someone with passion, enthusiasm, dedication and commitment and with at least a decent knowledge of swim strokes, with or without swim teaching experience. But you must be very comfortable to be around children If you are friendly and full of energy, this role is great for you

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

You will be looking at not only progressing as an Aquatics Trainer but also looking at other opportunities involving growing of Swish Swim School

**Job description**:
Your main role is to provide guidance, engage, coach and inspire young children. Touching on methods to increase endurance and stamina, to master the fine points of the swim strokes, and also understanding water safety. For babies and toddlers, you will be providing guidance to the parents on building water confidence with our signature programmes.

**Learn to Swim & Parent Accompanied Classes**:

- Teaching babies and toddlers, and young children on water confidence and water safety, and then strokes. Helping students past their fear of water.
- Using AUSTswim as a guideline for teaching and using Swish Swimming’s own levels of water confidence and swimming techniques.
- Ensure the safety of the babies, toddlers children and adults at ALL times.
- Evaluate students, on a termly basis.
- Take note of students that are unable to keep up with the other students in the class
- Take attendance at every lesson - note down any comments

**Skills/Qualification**:

- Basic Life saving course would be preferable but not essential
- Decent knowledge in swim strokes
- Be able to portray a professional attitude and maintain good relationships with students and parents
- Have the nature to interact with all kinds of people and age groups
- Be able to be heard over a noisy bunch of kids or a chatty bunch of mums
- You should have excellent attitude towards learning
- Ability to react calmly in an emergency situation
- You should be residing in Singapore
- With or without swim teaching experience but TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED
- Also for the safety of everyone, all confirmed applicants are needed to be fully vaccinated as soon as possible upon confirmation.
