What's the role?:
As a member of the Government & External Affairs team, you will be part of a diverse global team working across regions and functions. You will manage our memberships to organizations and initiatives and contribute to projects and initiatives. It will be your mission to support all HERE's business activities, especially linking to public sector players, while focusing on relevant interfaces on government side and providing management about regulatory developments. External Affair's team is coordinating on high level the contacts to the governments, shaping relevant HERE public policy positions, engaging in outreach, and developing and driving dialogue with the institutions, collaborating closely with teams across HERE, and demonstrating throughout HERE's commitment to good corporate citizenship.

As the
**Senior Government & External Affairs Manager APAC** you will be responsible for representing HERE interests in the policy and regulatory discussion with the Asian Institutions and few selected Asian countries. You will liaise regularly with the public administrations and regulators of the institutions, and you will coordinate HEREs interest representation activities. You will be based in Singapore.

Your main responsibilities include:

- Representing HERE's policy interest’s vis a vis the Asian Institutions, as agreed with HERE Management. Your target will be to improve the business environment for HERE through impact on the political decision making process.
- Coordinating and organizing HERE's external affairs activities towards the Institutions as part of a global Govt & EA team, ensuring that HERE's corporate responsibility strategy is well communicated.
- Following the local regulatory discussion and proactively identifying issues that are of interest to HERE.
- Representing HERE in industry trade associations and ensuring that HERE has representation in trade associations when justified.
- Representing HERE positions and industry consensus positions in meetings, conferences and other public and private events, APAC regional trade/government bodies and in APAC in general.
- Establishing a solid discussion channel and further developing relationships with the Institutions in APAC.

Who are you?:
You will be able to excel in this role if yous possess the followings skills,competencies and work experience:

- A Degree in Law, Communication, Public Affairs or related fields
- At least 15+ years of validated work experience in managing external affairs / government relations for a multinational company
- Exposure to dealing with Trade bodies and Government stakeholders in all major countries in the APAC region
- Excellent communication skills. Proficiency in any Asian language (in addition to English) is preferable.
- Ability to create, articulate and drive policy related matters.
- Ability to demonstrate gravitas and executive presence
