JR39510 Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Intern (Polytechnic Students)

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Intern. This internship provides a valuable opportunity for students or recent graduates interested in pursuing a career in the field of EHS.

As an EHS Intern, you will gain practical experience, develop essential skills, and actively contribute to our organization's commitment to maintaining a safe and environmentally responsible workplace
- Work with various key stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving EHS practices and processes.
- Assist in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits, contributing to the development of effective mitigation strategies.
- Review current EHS processes, policies, and procedures to identify areas for improvement and propose practical solutions to enhance safety and compliance.
- Support the maintenance and organization of EHS-related documents, policies, procedures, and training materials, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Ensure compliance with the industry standards and regulatory requirements, by assisting in the preparation and coordination of customer and internal audits.
- Take on ad-hoc projects that provide exposure to various aspects of EHS management, gaining knowledge in the various disciplines of EHS.
- Participate in Safety Committees, liaising with cross functional teams to enhance the organization’s safety culture.

**Scope**:

- Increase EHS knowledge by getting hands-on experience of managing the operations
- Understand the acts and legislations regulating EHS according to Singapore and Global standards.
- Gain a firsthand experience of EHS management within the Semiconductor Industry.
- Gain practical experience in the implementation of EHS programs and initiatives within a dynamic corporate environment.
- Gain experience in Fire Safety management in the corporate setting, by playing an integral part in its database maintenance regime.
- Learn from experienced professionals in the field of EHS, who will provide guidance, mentorship, and opportunities for professional growth.
- Gain comprehensive knowledge and experience of key EHS systems through various training sessions and workshops.

**Deliverable**:
Establish a robust Fire and Safety database which complies to internal and Singapore standards.

- Written & spoken fluency in English
