**_Job Descriptions: _**

**_Teaching duties _**
- _Teach classes (25 periods per week). _
- _Engage with leadership, colleagues, students and the school community to create a dynamic, aspirational and innovative culture - a professional learning community grounded in collaboration, focused on improving learning outcomes, and driven by data-informed decision-making. _
- _Collaborate with the IB Coordinators to develop, implement and deliver HWA’s curricular goals, aligned to the school’s strategic planning. _
- _To differentiate and target learning to students’ needs and aptitude levels. _
- _Be an active, life-long learner. _

**_Non-teaching duties: _**
- _Be familiar with, and adhere to, all requirements for external examination and internal assessment. _
- _Participate in professional duties as necessary outside of the scope of the school day (e.g. Field trips, professional development on weekends as needed, and after school meetings as required). _
- _Supervise duties at break/lunch and/or other unstructured times. _
- _Lead/coach an after school CCA (co-curricular activity). _
- _Assist in internal sub coverage according to department needs. _
- _Responsible for teaching materials and resources in the lab room. _
- _Provide any other reasonable duties delegated by the School. _
- _Contribute to school continuous improvement by being a member of assigned committee or work group. _
- _Responsible for homeroom teacher duties if assigned. _

**_Support Staff Professional Learning _**
- _Promote collaborative practice and ensure effective learning relationships. _
- _Support new colleagues, providing coaching and access to learning resources, curriculum materials and student learning data. _

**_Requirements: _**
- _Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. _
- _2 to 3 years of working experience in the related field is preferred. _
- _Curriculum development knowledge is required. _
- _Possess highly developed interpersonal and teamwork skills. _
- _Excellent verbal and written skills in English/Chinese. _
