Early Years Teacher

The Tots Lead Teacher (children aged 8 mths to 17 mths) and Co-Teacher holds two roles. The Tots Lead Teacher will plan and execute activities for Quayside Isle Prep's Tots programme (8-17 months). The Tots Lead Teacher will design developmentally appropriate classes for tots, engage the accompanying caregivers in providing a supporting environment for the tots, and work collaboratively with other Tots teachers/staff. In addition, this includes, but is not limited to, planning sensory, music, storytelling and outdoor learning opportunities for all tots.
The Co-Teacher works alongside the Lead Teacher, helping to plan and execute lessons and activities in the classroom. In addition, the Co-Teacher assists the Lead Teacher in ensuring the classroom is safe, well-organised, and clean at all times.
**Responsibilities**
- Engaging in collaborative teaching alongside the Lead Teacher in the
classroom
- Teaching and guiding students in the classroom
- Preparing teaching materials
- Maintaining and organising classroom materials
- Assisting in communication with parents
- Taking on the role of Lead Teacher when necessary
- Delivering differential lessons, activities and homework within the classroom
- Collecting learning data
- Implementing and conducting programs for classroom use
- Supporting routine care
- Working collaboratively with the QuIPS teaching team to organise and execute school events
