WE ARE LOOKING FOR.....

AIA Singapore carries a wide range of life insurance products and has a wide range of distribution channels. The Actuarial department is responsible for functions such as pricing (new products, compensation to distribution channels, vitality program), valuation of liabilities, capital management, economic capital, asset and liability management, managing profitability of the in-force business, experience studies, financial reporting on various basis and reinsurance.

Interns will be assigned to one or more of the following projects (e.g. experience studies or cashflow checking on new products) during the Program depending on suitability, interest and timing (as projects are scheduled during different parts of the year).

Functions include: Pricing and other actuarial services

Pricing
- Assist in maintaining and updating the Actuarial Pricing Excel spreadsheet model (e.g. for Special Quotes)
- Help generate various Actuarial metrics from the pricing model to assist with financial assessments
- Help maintain, check and update the sales illustration for new products, to ensure they accurately reflect benefits provided
- Help check through various product literature (e.g. brochure, policy contract, product summary etc.) to ensure benefits are correct and consistent with what has been actuarially priced for
- Assist in preparing internal Pricing reports as well as external filings to regulators for new product launches or product revisions
- Provide end-to-end operational implementation support for product changes or new product launches, including preparation/checking of tables to be uploaded into the administrative systems and performing User Acceptance Testing of the outputs from the administrative systems to ensure they are correct
- Assist in ad-hoc Actuarial analyses/checking

Other actuarial services
- Check and/or use calculation tools to provide policyholders with illustrations of their insurance policy values / benefits
- Provide support in responding to customer enquiries, such as understanding and verifying customers’ queries, drafting responses or explanations, or performing policy alterations (if needed) to resolve any contentions
- Support the system enhancement or related service recovery work, in relation to policy benefits
