The Network Technician is responsible for installing, amending, and removing unnecessary cablings and other network peripherals. The activities may include but not limited to:

- Install wall-functioning computer networks, connections, and cabling.
- Rack and Dismount Network Device.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance and asset sighting.
- Perform Ocular inspections and regular site visits.
- Ensure tidiness within managed rack and cable organization.Perform connectivity test and Physical triage.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Asset Sighting and Preventive Maintenance
- Working at Height
- L1 physical triage in case of any faults.
- Network device rack dismount and mount peripherals.

Rack Conditions
- Rack Sighting
- Rack Available
- Rack Locked
- Rack Fan Working
- Rack Cleanliness
- Power Cables Secured

Environmental Conditions
- Temperature (Check the location of the temperature and inform the authority or our engineer)
- Other Environmental Factors (Dust, Dirt etc.), if Duty then need to clean the rack or space where device is located.
- Physical Health of Device (Randomly need to check the device health).
- AGV Preventive Maintenance.
- Rack Mount and Dismount (Installation, Removal and Addition)

Labelling

Labelling Condition (verify labelling of device, if not okay then need to relabel the device.

**Qualification and Competencies**
- Experienced in Layer 1 Physical administration in enterprise DC and Port Environment.
- Min Diploma or its equivalent (IT related)
- 1 to 2 years experience in hands-on experience with common software and hardware installation and deployment
- Mount and Installation of new network Peripherals
- Test Cable Connectivity
- Working at height
- Incident Handling for L1 Issues
- Good Team Player and also able to work independently
- Proven experience as network technician or relevant position
- Cable Testing
- Basic Network Connectivity Testing
- Rack Mounting
- Preventive Maintenance and Asset Sighting
- Physical Layer troubleshooting
- Fiber Testing
- Driving License Class 3 (Must possess)CCNA/CCNA Trained (Optional)

**Pre-Requisite**
- Able to work during holidays and weekends
- Able to work as standby for any break fix related concerns
- Required to wear PPE (safety garments) during onsite visits including boots
- Willing to attend courses provided (relevant to job scope)
- no issue performing work at height
- No respiratory related illness (i.e. Asthma) due to work nature
