Area Manager, Sea

Local Unit & Position Description:
The Supply Chain & Product Assurance division combines breakthrough technology and best-in-class Assessment & Advisory services, enabling DNV to be a valued partner of choice for many of the world’s leading brands. The Area Manager, SEA will play a critical part in ensuring that the local strategy is adhered to and the team in SEA are positioned correctly to assist both new and existing clients with their transformation agenda, partnering with them on their journey to a more digitalized, green, safe and circular economy.

This position will have responsibility for and deliver upon the commercial plan and targets, as approved by the Regional Manager - APAC IME and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). The Area Manager will lead a talented and ambitious team that are focused on selling and executing Digital, Supply Chain, Product Assurance and Advisory services. You will utilise your strong domain knowledge across the digital arena, and your accomplished Sales acumen, to manage and inspire the team to continuously look at innovative ways to develop business across the SEA market.

Alongside the above, some fundamental performance targets include delivery of:

- Achieve or exceed target Sales performance for the SEA unit.
- Achieve or exceed target Revenue performance for the SEA unit.
- Achieve or exceed target EBIT performance for the SEA unit.

In addition to commercial targets, it is also important that our managers achieve wider strategic and objective goals that mirror our global Supply Chain & Product Assurance strategy. These include:

- Champion a culture in the unit that embraces and shares the same values of the Supply Chain & Product Assurancedivision.
- Leading the team to drive assurance and advisory solutions to the SEA market, across areas related to sustainability and digital transformation.
- Continuously look at ways in which we can develop and enhance our solution offering.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Ownership of the P&L for SEA and commit to achieving/exceeding annual targets and plan as defined and agreed with senior management.
- Define and implement business area strategies and actions to meet Strategic ambitions, Sales & Revenue targetsin SEA.
- Inspire, influence and motivate a collaborative Sales team.
- Ensure partnerships are established across the organisation, paving the way for a harmonious sales and delivery operation.
- Reporting on P&L performance metrics on a regular basis with detailed overview on status, risks and opportunities.
- Forecasting ahead for monthly and quarterly performance.
- Set an example to follow by personally initiating project leads and actively pursuing opportunities.
- Manage the day-to-day business and people in the SEA unit.
- Analyse market trend information to recommend changes to practices and policies and improve market positioning.
- Ensure positive engagement with the SEA team
- Analyse performance of Sales team on an individual and unit basis and make suggestions to improve and develop skills, experience and overall performance.
- Ensure SEA plays full collaborative role with both local and global units within Supply Chain & Product Assurance as a core part of its culture and ways of working.

Position Qualifications:

- Commercial track record of managing a P&L centre successfully.
- Understanding of and alignment with DNV Supply Chain & Product Assurancestrategy including a passion for digital technologies related to trust, transparency and the digital transformation of supply chains.
- Demonstrable history of working in sales with a natural ability to build relationships across a varied client portfolio.
- Experience in Testing, Inspection, Certification (TIC) industry across areas including, but not limited to - Product Assurance, Food & Beverage, Sustainability, Supply Chain, ESG, Cyber Security, Functional Safety and Medical Devices.
- Able to make timely and informed decisions
- Experience of managing units with consultancy professionals.
- Results oriented and with high focus on delivery.

- Ability to interact and cooperate across our global organization.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
