**About the Team**

We offer optimal financial advisory services with focus on Southeast Asia, including Japan, to meet clients’ needs based on extensive experience and know-how backed by a strong record of accomplishments.

Working closely with counterpart professionals in Japan, Hong Kong and other SEA countries, we provide clients with comprehensive financial services ranging from advisory services to financing required for M&A deals.

**Summary**

Reporting in to the Head of M&A Advisory, you will possess comprehensive knowledge of the financial markets and investment banking business with an exceptional knowledge of understanding transaction cycle.

You are a strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with strong presentation and public speaking skills to liaise with clients and like-minded professionals. Your attention to detail is exemplary and you are well organised and thorough with the desire for continuous improvement.

**Responsibilities**
- M&A Deal Execution
- As a project manager and/or a team member of a deal you will execute M&A transactions including researching a sector, examining valuations of a company, supervising due diligence, structuring a deal, documentation, making advices on negotiation tactics, attending various meetings or negotiations to support clients and any other execution-related activity associated with an M&A deal.
- Ensure successful execution of mandates, including working with the team and alongside other departments within MHFG including MHSC, MHBK and external advisors (legal advisors, FDD TDD teams, etc).
- M&A Deal Origination
- Origination of transaction opportunities for Mizuho’s clients through own business network, partner/no partner investment banks, boutique firms and advisory firms or by directly contacting to companies after analysing their background.
- Work with internal teams and MHFG including MHSC and MHBK for the production of presentation materials and prepare transaction documents for the successful procurement of the mandate.

To supervise and create presentation materials to originate M&A deals.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Bachelor degree essential, preferably in Accounting, Economics or Business Studies
- Advanced language skills in both English and Japanese (written and spoken) required due to frequent detailed communication with Japanese clients and liaising with various departments in Headquarters
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- At least 15 years of experience in sell/buy M&A advisory and/or PE required, preferably in one or more focus sectors
