**SENIOR WEB DESIGNER JOB DESCRIPTION**:
We are looking for a reliable, detail-orientated senior web developer to join our company. The senior web developer's responsibilities include communicating with clients to determine website specifications, creating schedules and providing quotes, writing code, working with a team of designers and content writers, as well as assisting with recruitment and training of all new junior web developers. You should be able to provide excellent customer service, understand written and verbal instructions, and stick to deadlines and budget constraints.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Interpreting client specifications and identifying website user requirements.
- Creating timeframes and work schedules to meet deadlines.
- Communicating effectively with clients and teams.
- Building a network of freelance designers and content writers.
- Updating records and writing reports.
- Debugging websites and ensuring software documentation is updated.
- Liaising with mobile developers.
- Establishing strong professional relationships with clients and other professionals.
- Conducting research and keeping abreast of social media marketing trends.
- Supervising junior web developers, analysing areas of weakness, and scheduling training sessions accordingly.
- Prioritize software development projects, set timelines and assign tasks to team members.
- Create wireframes to decide on layout.
- Run functionality testing’s and debug code.
- Liaise with designers to decide on UI/UX elements (like graphics and navigation buttons)
- Ensure our software documentation is up-to-date.
- Collaborate with mobile developers to build mobile-responsive websites.
- Work with marketing product managers to customize online marketing campaigns, and organize and manage all online marketing collateral.
- Design, create, and maintain web content to meet marketing requirements.
- Work with IT to ensure backend processes to and from the website transition smoothly.
- Collaborate with editorial on online companion resources.
- Design, create, and optimize graphic content for social media, online ads, and website use.
- Research, purchase, and customize stock photography to reflect marketing message.
- Create, facilitate and document testing of web development, and offer on-demand web maintenance, content management, and technical support.
- Mentor junior designers in weekly one-on-one advanced design concepts coaching sessions, and provide feedback on practice assignments.
- Testing and improving the design of the website.
- Establishing design guidelines, standards, and best practices.
- Maintaining the appearance of websites by enforcing content standards.
- Designing visual imagery for websites and ensuring that they are in line with branding for clients.
- Working with different content management systems.
- Communicating design ideas using user flows, process flows, site maps, and wireframes.
- Incorporating functionalities and features into websites.
- Designing sample pages including colours and fonts.
- Preparing design plans and presenting the website structure.
- Developing and modifying tutorial videos using web resources.
- Designing web pages using HTML and JavaScript technologies.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Photoshop and Dreamweaver etc.
- Draw up detailed website specifications.
- Design sample page layouts including text size and colours.
- Design graphics, animations and manipulate digital photographs.
- Register web domain names and organise the hosting of the website.
- Present initial design ideas to clients.
- Carry out coding using a variety of software.
- Work with different content management systems.
- Search engine optimisation (SEO).
- Meet relevant legal requirements such as accessibility standards, freedom of information and privacy.
- Design the website's visual imagery and ensure it's in line with company branding policy or the requirements of the client.
- Proofread content and make changes where necessary.
- Edit content, debug code and re-design web pages.
- Work with other web specialists, including web developers and graphic designers.
- Liaise with outside agencies.
- Test the website to ensure it's working.
- Hand the completed website over to the client.
- Provide post-sales technical support.

- Undertake continuing professional development (CPD) activities to keep up to date with new software developments.
