Project & Maintenance Lead

Maintenance, Reliability, Turnaround (MRTA) is about understanding and maintaining our equipment as effectively and efficiently as possible, making sure it performs as intended. The Maintenance discipline covers the development of Maintenance strategies and the planning, coordination, and execution of Maintenance activities. It ensures safe, defect free and efficient operations through the regular upkeep of equipment and tools in the most cost efficient and timely manner.

**What’s the role?**

As Project & Maintenance Lead, your key accountabilities include the following:

- PU Project focal point, to lead/ execute/ construct multi-discipline projects as Project Engineering Lead (PEL). Engage/ Coordinate with relevant disciplines where required for the MOC.
- Lead the project from start to completion as per Shell Jurong Island MOC process, including but not limited to the roles of Pre-startup Safety Review (PSSR) Handover Leader and its associated responsibilities. Oversee and manage field construction activities during construction phase of work.
- Develop work plan with contractors, operations, maintenance, and all relevant parties for execution with minimum interruption to operating plant. Interface with Operations, Technologists, Engineering, Maintenance & contractors / vendors for seamless execution. Member of MTAC extended leadership team. Leads/supports business improvement initiatives where opportunities arise or required.
- Accountable for the safe, defect free, on time and on budget delivery of all NRM activities, including management of discovery scopes. NRM activities include Routine Catalyst Change, Integrated Tank Maintenance, Corrosion Under Insulation Mitigation, Pipeline/Piping Inspection/Rectification programs and replacement in kind (RIK) work.
- Ensures compliance to Shell HSSE, Technical, and Process Safety Standards, and local requirements during execution of work.
- Initiate and contribute to improvements including plant safety and reliability. Support continuous improvement in LEAN project and construction execution.
- Execute role of standby engineer for purpose of supporting the running plant in troubleshooting of problems after office hours. (On Scheduled rotation).
- Execute role of Authorized Engineer (including lifting) for works within Shell Permit to work system.
- Lead and deliver projects/maintenance activities with over $5 million value e.g. catalyst changes, CUI Mitigation, Pipelining, Tanks maintenance/inspection, procurements, etc.
- Be the lead to work with team and various stakeholders (contractors/ Vendors/ work counterpart, etc., to deliver all non-routine activities.
- Mentor and nature current direct reporting staff (less than 10).

**What we need from you**

We are keen to speak to professionals with the following:

- Minimum Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in onshore oil & Gas projects/ construction /maintenance or demonstrated equivalent.
- Proven skills in project engineering, construction management and HSSE execution.
- Ability to lead and mentor a team as well as to drive performance through systematic improvements.
- Work experience coupled with this technical knowledge/ professional certification will be desirable:

- PMP certification or equivalent
- Oil/petrochemical industry safety course for supervisors
- Certified Rigger/Signalman + Lifting supervisor
- Working at Height supervisor
- Confined space work supervisor
