Executive Director, Transaction Banking Product Design, Apac

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transaction Banking ("TB") Product Designer to accelerate our transaction banking development. Transaction Banking is one of the strategic priorities for SMBC Group and hence strengthen the expertise in TB domain to accelerate the growth of our business. This role will lead the team and define the TB Product vision and ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs. **Key Responsibilities**: - **Product Development & Delivery**: - Manage Product delivery roadmap - Drive the design and development of product into Delivery by coordinating with IT, OPS and other team - Collaborate with Business to shape / influence the overall Product Vision. Ensure alignment of product with business goals and customer needs across APAC markets - **Backlog Management**: - Groom, prioritize, and maintain multiple backlog’s (Product, Defect, BAU) - Write clear and actionable User stories, Review, Approve user stories and acceptance criteria. - Ensure the backlog is visible, transparent, and understood by all team members. - **Stakeholder Collaboration**: - Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team. - Gather and analyze feedback from customers, users, and stakeholders to refine the product. - **Sprint Planning and Execution**: - Lead / Participate in sprint ceremonies, planning meetings to define goals and priorities. - Ensure the development team understands the requirements and priorities. - Review and accept completed work during sprint reviews. - **Change Management & Decision Making**: - Make decisions regarding product features, scope, and priorities. - Balance technical constraints, business needs, and user requirements. - Manage Change Requests via a well defined Change mgmt framework - **Market and User Research**: - Conduct market research and analyze user behavior to identify opportunities for improvement. - Monitor industry trends and competitor products. - **Performance Monitoring**: - Track product performance metrics and ensure the product meets quality standards. - Identify areas for improvement and drive continuous enhancement. - **Team Build and management**: - To build a high performing team of domain expertise, fostering a culture of innovation, compliance and industry best practice. **Skills and Qualifications**: - Deep understanding of any one of the Business Domain (Cash mgmt, Trade Finance, Lending, Treasury) - Good grasp of Technologies to understand & appreciate the Solution fitment to Business req, able to question / challenge Solution estimates wrt Compexity of the task. - Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands. - Analytical and problem-solving skills. - Experience with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, or Azure DevOps). - Knowledge of the industry or domain relevant to the product. - Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field (preferred).
