In order to support our team and strengthen the growth of our APAC business, we are looking for an:
**INVESTMENT CONSULTANT**

**What can you expect?**- This position reports directly to the Head of Advisory in Mercer Wealth business in Singapore where you will be focused on building relationships and providing consulting advice to institutional investors across the region, such as sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, government agencies and financial institutions.

**We will count on you to**:

- In Mercer, we work as a team. Part of the duties of the consultant is to provide following support to the lead consultant, and ensuring that the work below are performed. Supervision of analysts within the team to ensure the performance of work stated below is crucial.
- Assist the Principal consultant in client projects relating to strategic asset allocation, investment governance and investment implementation, including manager searches and monitoring. Developing strong relationships with new and existing clients will be a critical responsibility of a Consultant.
- Production of performance evaluation reports by using Mercer proprietary tools as well as Microsoft tools, which cover the client's portfolio performance of each of the funds within the client's investment programme.
- Preparing and managing the development of the quarterly market environment presentation, which includes the general state of the economy and performance of the investment assets.
- Keeping up to date on developments within the fund management companies.
- Communicates with investment managers and custodians to gather and/or clarify client-specific data for reporting. Closely examine and monitor developments at investment management firms and notify clients of critical issues in an accurate and timely manner.
- Supports periodic inquires from clients on quarterly performance or adhoc requests via the client.
- Attend and participate in quarterly client meetings. Over time meeting responsibilities will increase and the Consultant will be expected to present specific areas of review. (i.e. manager updates, participant trends, and/or manager performance).

**What you need to have**:
a) Knowledge/background
- Bachelor degree holders with strong academic track record
- Knowledge and experience of pension and investment markets
- CFA and/or CAIA qualifications are added advantages

b) Experience
- 4 - 8 years of relevant experience
- Strong background in fund management or investment consulting

c) Behavioural competencies
- With high energy, proactivity and desire to see things done efficiently
- Team player
- Ability to communicate complex issues in a simple and coherent manner.
- Attention to detail, and project management experience.
- Flexible, entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented and can work on own initiative
