JERA Global Markets (JERAGM) is a leading utility-backed seaborne energy trader specialising in LNG, Coal and Freight with a platform to trade across all key markets (North America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia). JERAGM is a joint venture between majority shareholder JERA Inc. (JERA) and EDF Trading.

JERAGM operates one of the largest seaborne energy portfolios in the world which gives us an in-depth understanding of the way local, regional and international energy markets behave. These insights enable us to help our customers increase security of supply, optimise their portfolios and improve the risk management of their assets.

The commercial hub of the company is in Singapore, with offices located in Japan (Tokyo), the UK (London) and the US (Baltimore).

DESIGNATION : Settlements Analyst (1-year contract), SG

RESPONSIBILITIES
**Department Description**

The Finance department is responsible for all key accounting, reporting and tax matters affecting the company and for the design, implementation, maintenance and operation of financial processes and internal controls.

The Finance department is accountable for the management and oversight of the following functions:

- Settlements
- Accounting
- Consolidation reporting
- Financial control
- Financial planning & analysis
- Tax

QUALIFICATIONS
**Key Role Responsibilities**
- Handling of daily outstanding Accounts Receivable reporting
- Handling of weekly outstanding Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable reporting
- Handling of FX Settlement
- Confirmation with Bank and external counterparties
- Creation of FX transactions entries in Horizon and sending entries to SUN systems
- Preparation of Monthly Settlements report to Internal control department
- Following up with Operators to clear non-allocated cash
- Handling the invoicing for Dry Freight to clear non-allocated cash
- Other tasks as assigned by Settlements Manager
- Working outside of normal business hours may be required at times

**Key Qualifications and Experience**
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting
- Good PC and spreadsheet skills
- Fresh graduates or undergraduates with a diploma or degree in Accounting or equivalent are welcome to apply

**Person Specification**
- Has strong self-initiative
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work well under time pressure
- Good verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate effectively with people at all levels and attention to details
- Good problem-solving skills
