Infrastructure Support Engineer

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Mandatory required skills are VMware,Hyper-V,Windows Domain controller,DNS,GPO,Ubuntu 16.04,Centos 6/7and SQL administration. Optional skills are HPE Data protector,HPE C7000 Enclosure and Switches
- You will be using primarily VMware and Microsoft virtualization technologies in a hyper-converged business IT ecosystem.
- Work with R&D cyber security team to maintain compliance on cyber security policies and standards applicable to business IT systems.
- Provide technical support in lab compute space operations including:

- end-to-end infrastructure HW/OS installation, configuration, integration, patching and upgrading of system components including enclosures, servers, storage and top of rack switches
- system performance and status monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting
- business IT continuity and recovery plan
- improvement and simplification of lab compute space infrastructure architecture
- Strong partnership capability working with HPS Singapore R&D and Quality engineers to enhance productivity, collaboration and efficiency through services such as:

- domain membership, group policies, IP addressing and system imaging of lab computers
- file share utilization and user access to business IT-owned Windows file servers
- Printer firmware development and build servers
- User account management on lab computers and projects in ALM system.
- R&D and test data backup and restore using HP Data Protector solution
- hosting web and database services
- facilitating IT software procurement
- managing local R&D software licenses
- facilitating SharePoint site administrative tasks and customizations

Education and Experience

? Min a Bachelor degree in IT, Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with at least three years in-depth knowledge and practical experience with enterprise IT system administration (installation, hardware, trouble-shooting) and network configuration

? Windows Enterprise Server 2012/2016 and configuration management (MCSE or MCSA certification preferred)

? Active Directory and SCCM management

? RHEL 6 / 7, Ubuntu LTS 16 / 18 (sys admin certification preferred)

? Experience with HPE servers and iSCSI storage, networking infrastructure, DNS/DHCP, file servers, RDP, Ethernet switches, VLAN

? Experience in Data Center management will be an advantage

? Virtualization experience - Vsphere, Hyper-V, Virtual Connect

? Good trouble shooting skills in Windows/Linux network environment

? Scripting experience (Bash, Python, Perl, etc.)

? Knowledge of IT industry trends and technologies

? IT security knowledge a plus
