**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To fulfil all workflow and on-air subtitling requirements, ensuring the smooth running of subtitling operations and timely output of Tamil and English subtitles for our Indian Channel, Vasantham.
- Manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of subtitles for broadcast on-air and digital platforms.
- Perform QC on the subtitle files to ensure they meet the broadcast standards.
- Able to utilize subtitling software competently to edit, and timecode subtitles with accuracy.
- Provide support to supervisor for key projects when called upon.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- At least a Bachelor's degree.
- 3 years of working experience in Broadcast industry is preferred
- Experience in Tamil language and operations related experience is an advantage
- Understand the Tamil language very well and is be able to read, write and type out Tamil with good accuracy.
- Able to translate Tamil into English with good accuracy.
- Demonstrates good grammar, sentence structures, awareness of nuances, colloquialisms and possess good knowledge of local languages.
- Proven track record in operational work
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Negotiation and influencing skills in working with the various internal units and vendors.
- Able to take on challenging situations and provide solutions to problems.
- Proven experience in maintaining quality output of subtitles.
- A dynamic and driven individual who is able to translate directives into actionable plans and drive accountability for the job scope.
- Able to provide clear directions to drive the team to meet the unit objectives.
- Proven track record in subtitling operations and some supervision of staff.
