**Job Description** Get to Know the Team**

The Targeted Communication team develops scalable systems to ensure seamless marketing campaigns, including an advanced IFTTT engine powered by AI. Our solutions aim to enhance automation and efficiency, positively improving millions of lives. The team consists of backend and frontend developers collaborating in a tech-friendly environment that bridges business and technology.

**Get to Know the Role**

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll collaborate across teams, mentor colleagues, and help fix user pain points while driving project deliverables.

You will report to the Engineering Manager II. You will be onsite at Grab One-north office.

**The Critical Tasks You Will Perform**

You will:

- Design and implement backend components using Go to enhance service reliability and scalability.
- Explore new design solutions alongside engineering for scalability and performance.
- Lead code and design reviews for quality assurance.
- Analyse, tune, and improve software for capacity and performance.
- Prototype new features in collaboration with product and experience teams.
- Integrate AI components into broader system architectures in partnership with data scientists and engineers.
- Work with infrastructure teams to resolve system issues and improve backend performance.
- Participate in operational processes, including on-call rotations to maintain excellence.
- Work with product and design teams to define and prototype features, ensuring site reliability.

**Qualifications** What Essential Skills You Will Need**
- At least 3 years of experience with distributed systems and fullstack software engineering.
- Proficiency in one programming language and backend system design around DBMS, caches, or NoSQL.
- Experience building scalable, resilient, and observable distributed systems to assess system growth and stability.
- Knowledge of backend tools and server architecture.
- Experience with cloud services like AWS or Azure, which will be essential for deployment and management.
- Knowledge of software development best practices: version control (e.g., Git), unit testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with web development frameworks like ReactJS or Redux.
