The Procurement Representative / Senior Procurement Representative collaborates with Operations, Logistics, R&D, and the business units. You will source to deliver incremental total delivered cost efficiency, security of supply, supplier innovation and process improvements. What You Will Do:
Direct Procurement:

- Drives the ChampionX strategy for procurement of Direct materials through the development of strategic business relationships domestically and globally.
- Responsible for selecting suppliers and negotiating purchases and contracts. Has authority to issue purchase agreements within corporate purchasing policy. Has primary authority for source selection and price negotiation.
- In collaboration with supply chain. logistics, research & development, & marketing/sales, ensures security of supply and total delivered cost improvements in alignment with business goals.
- Reviews and negotiate monthly price changes in relation to market movements. Advises the business units on price trends, force majeures, and industry capacity changes.
- Accesses and interprets subscription services intel (e.g. IHS, ICIS, ChemData).
- Aligns processes with S&OP to support long term capital and product supply decisions.
- Identifies and drives qualification of new sources in collaboration with R&D.
- Collaborates with Supply Chain and Marketing to support & enable sales growth.
- Travel up to 10%

Indirect Procurement:

- Lead by example the local safety and ethical initiatives
- Steward for Procurement Policy Compliance and processes
- Work with stakeholders to identify, develop, and implement sourcing strategies and initiatives to reduce total delivered cost (TDC) and improve security of supply for assigned categories
- Implement global and regional initiatives
- Align new initiatives with global category teams
- Understand how to drive results via normal channels as well as informal channels and identify current & future sourcing needs
- Monitor, analyze, communicate and provide guidance for market cycle impacts and trends
- Monitor, analyze and determine taxonomies of spend for continued spend visibility and accuracy
- Effectively negotiate, execute and manage contracts aligned of ChampionX core business needs
- Drive efficiency improvements in conjunction with Supply Chain to ensure availability at required quality & costs levels
- Identifies potential suppliers and manage ongoing internal/external business relationships
- Use procurement tools and sourcing processes to improve results & increase efficiencies
- Effective collaboration with local, stakeholders
- Develop understanding of current business climate, industry trends and key business priorities
- Results focused and driven by key performance indicators, linked to P&L improvements
- Develop and manage contract strategy for critical category spend
- Understand impact to business/stakeholders when implementing
- Manage crisis (force majeure, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications:

- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in engineering, chemistry, or related business degree
- 3+ years’ experience in Direct Procurement (raw materials) and Indirect Procurement, preferably in oilfield chemistries
- Knowledge of commercial business law
- Good verbal and written communication

Preferred Qualifications:

- SAP Experience
- Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft office suite
