Role Overview This role sits at the intersection of business enablement and regulatory compliance. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior management — ensuring regulatory obligations are met while driving efficiency, automation, and conversion across client onboarding and compliance workflows.The role offers flexibility to be based in Singapore, Australia, or Hong Kong, and working closely with colleagues in marketing, technology, and product. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic oversight and hands-on management of the APAC compliance framework, including onboarding, AML/KYC, sanctions, and client suitability. Act as the business partner to product and technology teams, embedding regulatory principles into automated onboarding systems and digital workflows. Analyse conversion data and onboarding metrics to identify gaps and develop practical compliance solutions that enhance client experience without compromising regulatory standards. Oversee and guide remote compliance teams, ensuring effective coordination, consistent controls, and appropriate escalation mechanisms. Advise on principles-based regulations (ASIC, ESMA, SFC, MAS) and support local management with interpretations and implementation strategies. Lead and conduct compliance training across regions, particularly on marketing and promotions, to ensure consistent understanding of regulatory boundaries. Liaise with cross-border stakeholders (China, Europe, UK, Australia) to maintain alignment on group compliance policies and practices. Support licensing initiatives, audits, and senior management reporting as required. Requirements 8–15 years’ experience in regulatory compliance, ideally within CFD, forex, or fintech trading platforms. Proven ability to interpret and apply ASIC and/or European regulatory frameworks, including client appropriateness and suitability requirements. Strong experience in KYC/AML operations and understanding of onboarding design, suitability testing, and target market determinations. Demonstrated success in process optimisation, data analysis, and automation initiatives within compliance or onboarding functions. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills — able to collaborate with business, product, and technology leaders. Mandarin proficiency preferred due to regional stakeholder interactions. Analytical, commercially minded, and able to find pragmatic solutions within regulatory boundaries.
