DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | About the role
The Regional Vendor and Innovation Lead is a strategic role responsible for managing new vendor opportunities and relationships, driving innovation initiatives, and ensuring the delivery of high-impact vendor programs across the region. This role is focussed on optimizing vendor performance, acquisition of new vendors, identify emerging technologies, and implement transformative solutions that align with business goals.
The Regional Vendor and Innovation Lead will lead the regional vendor team and will have accountability for act as the single point of contact for Vendor regional teams.
Internally, the Regional Vendor Manager needs to secure buy-in from Local Management (Country Manager, Sales Director) and work effectively with working level local teams to deliver outcomes. The Regional Vendor Manager will work very closely with a number of regional functions (Solutions and Services, Marketing, Sales Operations, …) to design / improve programs.
The Regional Vendor Manager will also play a role of trusted advisor to the leadership team in identifying innovation and improvement opportunities not necessarily limited to the selection of vendors.
The Regional Vendor and Innovation Lead reports to the Regional Vice President APAC.
As the Regional Vendor and Innovation Lead, you will:
Innovation Leadership
· Identify innovation opportunities with vendors and work closely with the Solutions and Services Director to evaluate emerging technologies, startups, and innovative solutions relevant to the business.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to pilot and scale innovative initiatives.
· Act as a regional ambassador for innovation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
· Act as a trusted advisor to the Regional Vice President to identify innovation and improvement opportunities.
Vendor Management and Performance
· Lead vendor selection, onboarding, performance evaluation, and contract negotiations with vendors
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with key regional vendors and partners
· Identify strategic gaps and opportunities in the vendor portfolio aligned to market trends and customer demand.
· Lead Exclusive Networks' response to vendor RFIs, RFPs, and other strategic proposal opportunities.
· Drive vendor performance and the growth and breadth of the channel community of the portfolio of Vendors.
· Identify key strategic initiatives to support the development of those partnerships and ensure cross-functional involvement to support their execution.
· Oversee ongoing relationship development, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), joint business planning, and performance optimization, using the multiple touchpoints that Exclusive has with partners and end-users.
· Drive in-country execution of channel activities / programs by working alongside
local teams where needed.
· Work with Regional Marketing to amplify Vendor programs / EXN Demand generation campaigns.
· lead a small team of regional Vendor Management resources.
Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Acquisition
· Lead end-to-end vendor acquisition lifecycle—from sourcing, evaluation, and business case development to contract negotiation and onboarding.
· Work closely with global counterparts to share insights, harmonize approaches, and identify opportunities for global leverage.
· Lead vendor selection, onboarding, performance evaluation, and contract negotiations.
· Align and prioritize Exclusive Distribution Business initiatives with Vendor Regional teams
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | About you
The ideal Regional Vendor and Innovation Lead will have:
· Bachelor's degree
· 12+ years of professional experience in the IT or Cybersecurity sector, including 5+ years in partnerships, strategic Alliances, Vendor Management or category leadership at a distributor, OEM, or channel-focused organization with at least 5 years in regional leadership roles
· Proven success leading large, distributed vendor teams across multiple markets.
· Proven ability to negotiate and manage complex strategic vendor partnerships and experience collaborating with vendors and channel partners in developing joint go-to-market plans.
· Deep understanding of the IT channel ecosystem, distribution models and cybersecurity market dynamics.
· Strong project management skills, financial acumen, strategic thinking and attention to details.
· Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to influence across all functions and levels.
· Strategic mindset with the ability to remain hands-on and operational when required.
· Experience in collaborating with cross functional teams and with parties in various geographies & culture
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize tasks and managing it well.
